A self-directed project influenced by the German woodcut movement on modern subjects and items. The stylized imagery was then applied to various contemporary posters. In the poster series created for the lyrics through time, I chose the colours red and black not only does it match the darker understanding of the songs but also matches the imagery of the song lyrics. The imagery was already very strong and expressive, so I had the layout and typography be more structured.

For the Toronto Jazz Festival posters, I chose the colors to match jazz's upbeat, energetic feel. There is a lot of movement in the background, so the typography is grouped together to contrast that.
